PastPost: An Exploration of Vintage Postcards
5781 postcards published by The Detroit Publishing Company and made available through the NYPL digital collection. The size of the postcards show the volume of that state. The states that have the most postcards and are therefore the most popular states are Massachusetts, California, New York and New Hampshire. The motifs overlaid on each state represent their top three topics. A collaboration project with Hang Do Thi Duc, with guidance from the NYPL Labs team.
